Supporting the Arts
All the time, effort and hard work that goes into each dance performance is so worth the end result… the big smile on each dancer’s face following a spectacular show. Knowing that I have been there by their sides, instructing, coaching, and supporting each dancer along the way, it’s what sincerely touches my heart.
Not all supporters are dancers. Many are just regular people who wish to bestow a blessing upon a dancer who couldn’t otherwise afford to take dance lessons.
With financial support from generous donations like yours, it helps keep this beautiful dance art alive. Many of my students begin around the age of 12 and have taken the dance training, the encouragement and support from me and their fellow students into adulthood, which will continue with life-long friendships and sisterhood in dance.
Your contributions can also be put towards providing dance performances in our local retirement centers. Our seniors enjoy being part of our performances, their faces brighten, their eyes light up, while they shake a coin-belt and twirl a silk in the air during our show. Sharing our performances with our seniors allows us to give back to our communities and show our seniors that we really care about them and they have not been forgotten. Then afterwards, we do a show-and-tell, where we visit with our seniors, and they tell us about their enjoyment of our show, learn about our costuming and sometimes they even get up to dance with us, when they are capable of doing so.
